ScienceDirect provides full text articles and abstracts from journals on science-related topics. However, not all articles found in ScienceDirect are available in full text to Clarion University users. Full text access is provided only for journals to which the library subscribes.
To search for articles, click on the Advanced Search option once you are in the database. Enter your search terms to view article results. If the full text is available, a PDF icon will be displayed below the article and a green dot will indicate the article is full text or open access. You will be able to download a PDF copy of these articles.
For many articles, only the abstract will be available. To access the full text of these articles, click into the article to view the abstract. At the top of the screen, there will be a PDF icon that says 'Get Access.' Click on that link, then click 'Request this item through Illiad' to request a copy of the article through interlibrary loan. For more information on using ILLiad, please visit the ILLiad LibGuide or the Borrowing From Other Libraries page on the library website.
